LCMR-021 THE LEMMINGS - SILLY AS A WHEEL / SHE'S A ONE 7"

The Lemmings grew out of the ashes of late 70s rock bands such as Kroll and the Bluebirds and quickly became of the city's most prolific and energetic live acts due to their fact their new wave pop sensibility could handle itself supporting the Ramones equally as well as the inner city sound of Swell Guys or the Toy Watches . Because bands got paid money in those days, the Lemmings entered the studio in 1981 and recorded a bunch of their original songs and due to a tape glitch in the original reels, only two tunes have survived to make this single. Producing these sessions was the man behind the talking bathmat - Jamie Dunn who at this time was still active in Brisbane's music studios having enjoyed some success as a musician prior to his celebrity as the voice of Agro.
